New Delhi: In a major setback for Nitish Katara killers Vikas and Vishal Yadav a medical board at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) says that the duo is not suffering from any medical condition and don't require hospitalisation.
A board of 10 doctors examined Vikas and Vishal between February 9 and 13, 2012 as per the directions of the Delhi High Court and found that both of them were able to perform daily activities without any assistance and did no0t require any medical help.
On November 7, 2011 CNN-IBN had exposed how the killers of Nitish Katara regularly misused jail norms to spend time out of prison. The duo made 151 visits to AIIMS and Batra Hospital 151 times since their conviction in 2008 in the Nitish Katara murder case.
In fact Vikas spent 25 days in an A category luxury ward from October 10, 2011 to November 4, 2011 after claiming that he was suffering problems like backache and cough. Vishal Yadav made 69 visits to Batra Hospital and was admitted twice for two and four months respectively for problems like tuberculosis and stomach ailments.
In fact, Nitish's mother Neelam Katara had filed reports showing that Vikas was missing from his room several times. "He was out several times on the October 26 and he is actually serving life imprisonment. So we don't know if he's actually spending time in hospital or not," said Neelam Katara.
The CNN-IBN investigation had also shown that the duo was not suffering from any medical problem.
